Your ultimate checklist to increase your business Facebook page following and engagement
If you’re regularly posting engaging and relevant content on your company’s Facebook page and not getting much action, then it’s time for you to give some thought to your Facebook strategy. You need to do more than routine posting on Facebook to create buzz and get new customers for your business.
If your Facebook engagement isn’t where you want it to be, ask yourself the following questions:
- Do you use your Facebook analytics (insights)?
Even though consistency is a must, posting at the best times is also very important. You need to know when your posts get the most attention. When is your audience online and reading your content? You also need to pay attention to what types of posts are the most popular. Does your audience like memes or are they looking for the most recent company updates? Analyze your statistics to create Facebook content that appeals to your audience.
- Are your posts visually appealing?
It’s true for any type of social media that content with photos, videos or infographics get more clicks than just plain text posts. Use high quality photos or videos with every post to get readers’ attention and engage with them.
- Are you being sociable?
No one wants to read about your product and services all the time. People like to share and tell their stories too. Remember to ask your audience questions. Encourage them to share their experiences. Answer their questions to keep the conversation going. Tell a joke.
- Are you being useful?
People use social media to connect with other people and learn something new. Is your information relevant and helpful to your readers? Are you helping them to achieve what they want? You’ll get more supporters if you’re a reliable and helpful source of information for your audience.
- Are you posting engaging, interactive content?
There are many ways to make your content more fun and engaging. Running a Facebook contest is a great way to increase your Facebook engagement. Having a contest rewards your loyal fans, and it also creates excitement and buzz. People will visit your Facebook page frequently to check if they have won.
Your Facebook business page content doesn’t have to be all business. Make sure that you have the right mix of fun and promotional content. Be authentic and helpful to your audience. Post at the best times for your readers and you’ll see an increase in following and engagement on your Facebook company page.
