Keep your brand strong by avoiding these mistakes
Building a strong, positive reputation for your company is important and takes time. Creating a well-known, recognizable brand doesn’t happen overnight. Surprisingly, most companies don’t know how to manage their PR, so they make mistakes, which leads to a weak or negative reputation. That’s what you and your company want to avoid.
- Hiring an ad agency. PR is one of the best ways to build a company’s reputation while advertising supports it. Many companies may think they are hiring a PR firm but continually get pushed to buy an ad, and that won’t help you build your brand.
- Focusing only on media relations. Public relations is more than media coverage in a print publication like a newspaper or magazine. It’s also more than a TV or radio interview. The internet and social media make it even more convenient to reach your audience directly and should be part of your company’s efforts.
These are two of the most common mistakes we see companies make as they build their brand. We have more to share; simply download the “Five Mistakes Companies Make with Their PR” guide to avoid these mistakes.
