Paid time off (PTO) is available to regular full-time employees after their initial 90 days of employment. You’re a professional. We trust you will not abuse this privilege. We expect you to manage your responsibilities and client work before you leave.
Unplanned Absence:
Planned Absence:
Medical Leave, Disability, and Other Types of Leave
When sick or recovering from a medically necessary procedure, all employees must stay home for at least 24 hours after their fever is gone without using fever-reducing medicines or after symptoms have improved and at least three days after flu symptoms started. This PTO policy covers most leave types (personal, medical, bereavement, jury duty, etc.) except for family and medical leave, military leave, military caregiver leave, qualifying exigency leave, and extended personal or medical leave when FMLA doesn’t apply.
Unless otherwise prohibited by corresponding local, state, or federal law, you may apply a maximum of two weeks of PTO per calendar year, taken consecutively or intermittently, to these specific types of leave. When you’ve exhausted the PTO, the remainder of the leave will be unpaid. You may apply for short-term and/or long-term disability coverage for the remainder of the leave if you meet the eligibility requirements. Currently, the company does not offer employees a long-term disability policy.
Paid Holidays
Although the company is typically closed for 11 holidays annually, the published New York Stock Exchange holidays, and Black Friday, your client and company obligations may require you to work on holidays. You will likely know in advance when this is the case. When you’ve met your annual KPIs, the company is profitable, and the account work allows, the company might also give Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day off, pending the managing partner’s approval. In such an event, the company expects all employees to return to work on or before Jan. 3.
Note that there are no “accrued leave hours” at Axia. Therefore, Axia won’t pay out vacation or sick leave time upon termination of employment for any reason.
