Stating goals, missions, and objectives is key to each business and project. It’s the core of what’s going on. Therefore, it is important to stand by whatever you decide on. This isn’t to say it couldn’t change as you or the company grows, but fickle changes in policy, mission statements, and messages can cause mistrust, low morale, and low faith when making decisions and getting things done. Figure out what your key messages are and stand by them as a beacon to guide you when the weather gets rough. Once you have your foundation, no matter how many times details and plans may shift and shape, you can remain on course.
